Vacation Time ... Part 2

While in Santo Domingo we took the boys and their cousin Cecil Marie to a science museum.  They had such a blast playing together while going through the guided tour.  I should say Gabriel had a great time as Raphael slept the entire time in his carrier.  Below they are learning about the Continental Drift.  The content of this science tour was quite advanced for Gabriel but Cecil Marie was having a great time and answered many of the questions.
I love this next picture where they were learning about the different layers of the earth.  Gabriel looks like he was actually paying attention and I love the crossed hands behind his back.  So cute.
Next Gabriel was able to experience what an earthquake would feel like.  There was a machine that you stood on and it shook back and forth.  He wasn't sure what to think about it at first but with Enrique by his side and reassuring him she enjoyed the ride.
One of Gabriel's favorite parts of the museum was the core of the earth where you could walk through and when you reached the middle of earth red lights would light up and thunder would sound.  Scary at first but after five minutes we couldn't keep him from going through it.  Here is a picture of Gabriel going through with Abuelo.
Here I am with Enrique's mom and Raphael.
Once again Gabriel is focusing and taking it all in.
The rest of the pictures are some family pictures, pictures of Gabriel with his cousin and pictures from lunch that same day.  Overall it was a great outing and really neat to see something like this smack dab in the middle of the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo.
